HOST JOURNAL · GETTING READY

Prepare your property for its first shoot.

A little preparation makes your space easier to understand, easier to use and easier to hand back.

Start with honest photographs

Show every offered area in its current condition. Mix wide views that explain the layout with details that show its character. Keep personal documents and private photographs out of the frame.

Write useful boundaries

Explain which rooms are available, what furniture can move and which activities need separate approval. Specific rules help the right productions find you and prevent surprises on the day.

Create a simple arrival plan

Identify the contact person, approved entrance, vehicle arrangements and equipment route. Confirm how the crew will access power, toilets and any agreed holding area.

Protect what matters

Discuss floor and surface protection with the production, secure personal valuables, and record the condition of the space before arrival. Agree where moved items will be stored and how they will be returned.

Make wrap part of the plan

Allow for packing, cleaning and a joint check-out within the agreed schedule. Compare the condition record and note issues while everyone has the context to resolve them.
