Host performance security deposit
This is intended as a refundable commitment balance supporting defined host obligations. The final agreement must state when it is required, the amount, permitted deductions, review process and release conditions. It is not platform revenue.
Buyer damage deposit
This is intended to protect against defined property-related damage, overtime or cleaning exposures. Your booking must specify whether the amount is collected or authorised, the amount, permitted claims, evidence requirements and release rules. It is separate from the booking fee.
Review before deductions
The proposed process records the issue and supporting evidence, gives the relevant parties an opportunity to respond and records an authorised decision. A reported claim should not automatically become a final deduction.
Photography is a different balance
A photography recovery balance is a deferred service cost under an accepted package agreement. It is not a refundable security deposit and should not be mixed with either deposit ledger.
Timing and provider rules
Actual authorisation periods, collection methods and release timing depend on the approved payment provider and final policy. These details must be disclosed before a real booking is accepted. No real deposit is collected in this preview.
